This year, 2024, marks the 43rd year that Urbanna Baptist Church has been hosting the summer worship services at Bethpage Resort-Camp. This is a time of fellowship, music and worship. Dress is casual.
The gathering is conducted in the amphitheater at 9 a.m. each Sunday. In case of inclement weather, the service will be conducted in the Rally Center of the Bethpage campground. This Sunday’s speaker is the Rev. Dr. John Wright of Immanuel Baptist Church. Jubal, a local worship band, will provide the music.

Urbanna Baptist Church is sponsoring a “Grieving for the loss of a Spouse” outreach program starting on Saturday, April 6, in the church’s fellowship hall at 2 p.m.
There is a $7 fee for registration which includes a participant’s book. There are scholarships available for registration fees.
Also, the church is sponsoring a grief support program, which will be offered in the fellowship hall of Urbanna Baptist Church starting Tuesday, April 16, and ending Tuesday, July 9.The event will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. weekly at the church.
There is a $20 registration fee. There are scholarships available for registration fees as well. The program runs 13 weeks.

Lower United Methodist Church (LUMC) at 120 Lower Church Road in Hartfield invites everyone to join them Sundays at 10:30 a.m. for worship.
On Tuesday, the United Women in Faith will meet in the LUMC Fellowship Hall at 10 a.m.
All are welcome each Wednesday for a time of group prayer beginning at 5 p.m.

Zion Hill Baptist Church, 10256 Indian Road, Gloucester, will have in-person worship service on Sunday, April 7, at 11 a.m. Pastor Eugene Comithier II will preach and the Senior Choir will sing.

The Kingsmen Quartet is set to perform at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at Harmony Grove Baptist Church in Harmony Village. The group is very popular and tours the East Coast. They have a ministry and want to preserve gospel music in the U.S. They sing in Pigeon Forge and Dollywood, and at local gospel festivals in Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama. They had the number one song on gospel charts, “Unstoppable God.”

The Pastor’s Aide Committee of Make-A-Way and Deliverance Full Gospel Baptist Church located at 100 Flats Road in Urbanna will be taking pre-orders for spaghetti dinners, side salad, dessert and drink for a donation of $10 continuing through April 22.
When you place your orders please give them a time you plan on picking up your dinner so it can be hot and ready. Dinners can be picked up on Saturday, April 27, between the hours of 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Zoar Baptist Church at 17097 General Puller Highway (Route 33) in Deltaville will host the second annual free drive-through barbecue dinner at the church on Saturday, April 13, from 4-6 p.m. One hundred meals will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. Church volunteers will be in the parking lot to greet and guide guests through the pick-up line to receive their requested number of dinners. All are welcome whether by car, golf cart, or bicycle.

Catholic Church of the Visitation Knights of Columbus (KOC) is a not-for-profit organization whose principles are Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. Donations it receives support Gloucester, Mathews, Northern Neck and Middlesex free health clinics, Virginians with Intellectual Disabilities, Veterans Services Golf Tournament, Families in Need, Hands Across Middlesex and Mathews and the Father John Boddie Scholarship Fund.
KOC meets at 5:15 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month at the Church of the Visitation at 8462 General Puller Highway (Route 33) in Topping. Each meeting starts with a rosary session. All are welcome!
