Girls win home track meet

The Middlesex High School (MHS) girls track team won a quad-meet on Thursday, March 21, at MHS on the John Lemon Memorial track.

The girls were paced by throwers Geriyah Cooke and Karadee Anderson, who together finished one-two respectively in the shot put and discus to score 20 points between them.
Cooke was the only double winner for the Lady Chargers. She won the shot put with a 37’ 4” throw and discus with a 90’ 4” toss. Anderson finished second, shot put (34’ 3”) and second, discus (87’ 4”).

Other individuals to finish first were E’Mony Jones who won the 400 meters; Baily Bagby, first, high jump; and Karli Parker first, triple jump.

The girls team had two more first places as the 4 x 100 meters was run by Chelsey Holmes, Javonya Chandler, Karli Parker and Kamiyn Friday; and the girls 4 x 800 meters took first as Elena Fomin, Makayla Moore, Sophia Koontz and Kayla Willis each ran a leg.
