Get ready for the unusual, the unexpected, and to be amazed when the Lewis and Clark Circus rolls into Urbanna on Wednesday and Thursday, April 24 and 25. There will be two shows each day — at 5 and 7:30 p.m. — to delight audiences under the big top in Urbanna’s Taber Park.
It’s a tradition that never gets old. See all of the excitement, the sounds and spectacle of a traditional circus. It’s a small circus that’s a big show — with aerialists, a juggler, balancing high atop a tall stack of chairs, cartoon-like characters and much more on a night of smiles released by surprises.
It’s an interactive circus — be ready to take the stage when emcee Vandeir, a clown, asks for volunteers. There just might be a contest for audience members.
On Feb. 22, the Urbanna Town Council approved the contract with the circus. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the town hall. Call 804-758-2613.
The town will get 25% of the first 100 tickets sold by the town up to $1,500 in revenue; and 10% of the revenue of general admission tickets sold on circus day.
Advance adult tickets are $15.
Online tickets are $15.99 for the first 100, then the price goes to $19.99.
Adult tickets on circus day will be $25.
Each adult ticket includes free admission for one child 12 years of age and younger.
