MHS mat coach expresses pride in team

Middlesex High School (MHS) had two wrestlers — Zach Dean and Thomas Dobb — qualify for the State A6 wrestling championships at the Salem Civic Center in Salem.

On Friday, Dean was defeated in the first round in the 215-pound class by Levi Blevins of Fort Chiswell High School and Thomas Dobb lost in the first round to Jr. Convers of Parry McCluer High School in the 165-pound class.

“Zach and Thomas both wrestled good matches in their weight classes,” said MHS Head Coach Joel Anderson. “I am real proud of the team overall for working hard and we saw a lot of improvement over the course of the season.”
