MHS boys basketball team defeats Chincoteague 66-45
The Middlesex High School (MHS) Charger basketball team defeated the Chincoteague Ponies, 66-45, in the first round of the Region A basketball tournament Tuesday in the John S. Clements Memorial Gym in Saluda.
The Chargers dominated the game offensively and defensively, shutting down the Ponies in all aspects of the game and at one point had a 34-point lead.
The Chargers advance in Region A play and will host Northampton High School in the second round of the tournament tonight, Thursday, Feb. 22, in Clements Memorial Gym. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
