Charger boys basketball team to host first region tourney games

The Middlesex High School (MHS) Charger basketball team raised its win-loss record on Thursday, Feb. 8, to 15-4, as MHS rolled to a 70-43 victory over the Essex Trojans behind a smothering Middlesex man-to-man defense.

With the win over the Trojans, the Chargers have now won 10 out of their last 11 games with strong offensive performances in all of those games from the Chargers’ leading three players that include Ichi Layne, Malik Dandy and JaQuan Griffin.
