Phyllis Ball Adams, 83, of Saluda, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024.
Phyllis was a kind and loving soul, known for her warm heart and caring nature. She dedicated her life to her family, bringing love and joy into their lives.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents, Sedan Ball and Mancha Good; her husbands, Emmett Adams and Charles Hall; as well as her sisters, Roberta Zahranick, Lois Blow, Jean Cooper; son, Robert Hall; and stepson, Bobby Adams.
Phyllis is survived by her loving children, Rebecca Jessie (Tommy), Susan Jones (Curt), Barbara Warrington (George), Danny Adams, and Chris Adams. She was a proud grandmother to 14 grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Phyllis also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, who will forever cherish the moments they spent together.
Aside from her dedication to her family, Phyllis was actively involved in her community. She was a devoted member of First Assembly of God, where she found strength and spiritual guidance. Her faith was unwavering, and she found comfort in reading her Bible.
Mrs. Adams had a creative spirit and enjoyed various hobbies and interests. She had a knack for making crafts and sewing, often creating beautiful quilts. Phyllis was an avid NASCAR fan and took pleasure in watching the races. She had a special place in her heart for Elvis Presley, and his music always brought a smile to her face. Phyllis also loved baseball, particularly rooting for the Dodgers and admiring their catcher, Mike Piazza. She enjoyed trips to Nags Head and had a collection of lighthouses that held sentimental value to her. Above all, Phyllis treasured the moments spent with her family, as their love and presence brought her immense joy.
The family thanks Riverside Hospice for taking care of Phyllis and ensuring her last moments were peaceful.
A funeral service is planned for 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 4, at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home in Saluda. The family will receive friends at noon until the time of the service. Interment will follow in New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery in Glenns.
