The Middlesex High School junior varsity girls basketball team is 5-3 after wins at King William and Mathews.

On Jan. 17, Middlesex rallied from an 11-8 halftime deficit and stepped up their defense to defeat King William 30-18.

On Jan. 26, Middlesex JV Lady Chargers defeated Mathews 24-20.

The Lady Chargers were up 11-6 at the half. Brooklyn Horace again led JV Lady Charger scoring with 11 points, getting two rebounds, two steals and one assist.

The JV Lady Chargers finish their season on Friday at 5 p.m. at West Point.
