Virginia Dunlevy Kelley

Virginia Dunlevy Kelley, 80, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024.

A native of Topping, she was a long-time member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church. She and her husband of 52 years, the Rev. David C. “Mike” Kelley, served in ministry for many years at Westville Baptist Church in Mathews and they also served at New Hope Baptist Church in King and Queen County.

Virginia loved her family, her church families, and her many Chihuahuas. She worked for many years at the Pilot House Inn Restaurant in Topping as well as the Mizpah Nursing Home in Locust Hill and the Saluda Nursing Home in Saluda.

In addition to her beloved husband “Mike,” Virginia was predeceased by parents, Marvin and Lillian Taylor; sisters, Elizabeth Hurley, Anna Lee Thomas, and Marie Bryant; brothers, Charles Dunlevy, Johnny Dunlevy, and Hugh Dunlevy. She is survived by her son, David R. Kelley; sisters, Jean Dutton and Patricia Jackson; and many nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Virginia’s life is planned for 11 am. on Thursday, Feb. 1 in Harmony Grove Baptist Church near Topping. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. The family will have a reception following the service at the Pilot House Inn Restaurant in Topping.
