Middlesex basketball dulls West Point’s Pointers 83-56

The Middlesex High School (MHS) varsity boys basketball team (8-3, 5-1) defeated the West Point Pointers, 83-56, in Tidewater District action on Thursday, Jan. 11.

The Chargers were paced by center Malik Dandy, who had a game high of 24 points. Dandy exploded for 13 points in the first quarter to give MHS a strong lead at the beginning of the game.

The Chargers were supposed to travel to the Eastern Shore of Virginia to play Nandua High School on Friday, Jan. 12, but the game has been postponed to Monday, Feb. 12.

Middlesex beat the King William Cavaliers on Tuesday, 60-49, and will host Carver on Friday, Jan. 19, in a Tidewater District game.
