Great Decisions is back for 2024 with in-person sessions at the Deltaville Community Association (DCA) building at 17147 General Puller Highway, Deltaville, starting 10 a.m.-noon Friday, Jan. 26. The program will continue each Friday through March 15.
The first session is “Pandemic Preparation: Ending the Deadly Cycle of Panic and Neglect.” Its presenters are Brenden Rivenbark, chief operations officer, Three Rivers Health District, and Dr. Richard Williams, health director for Virginia Department of Health.
“We are fortunate to have an exceptional group of speakers including former Ambassador Scot Marciel, university professors, and local experts,” an organizer for the series said.
Sessions start at 10 a.m. with a hearty welcome, speaker introduction, interesting and engaging presentation followed with a break for coffee and cookies. The session resumes with a lively question-and-answer session and concludes at noon.
