The Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck chapter of the Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society’s next meeting will feature U.S. Naval Reserve Commander Greg “Cinder” Blok. Blok is an F-18 Super Hornet pilot and a T-34 pilot. The T-34 is a turbo-prop Navy and Marine Corps pilot trainer plane.
The meeting is set for 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at the Pilot House Inn restaurant at 2737 Grey’s Point Road in Topping, near Hummel Field airport.
Blok’s wife will also be featured. She is U.S. Naval Commander Paige “PUFN” Blok. In less than a month, she will become the executive officer of VFA-211 – Strike Fighter Squadron “Fighting Checkmates!”
They couple has two children younger than 3 who keep them busy. They also own and fly a Kitfox Model 4.
