Middlesex varsity basketball team downs Rappahannock

Demonstrates gutsy play against reigning state champ Lancaster

Charger boys basketball team will host Charles City Friday

Just before Christmas season break, the Middlesex High School (MHS) varsity boys basketball team (5-2, 2-1) split two non-conference games, defeating the Rappahannock Raiders, 82-42, and losing to the Lancaster Red Devils, 47-38.

The Chargers hosted Tidewater District foe Mathews High School on Wednesday, Jan. 3. Results were unavailable at press time.

MHS will take on district foe Charles City on Friday, Jan. 5, in the John S. Clements Memorial Gymnasium. Tipoff  for the boys varsity game is set for 7 p.m. It follows the 5:30 p.m. junior varsity game.
