Amid online barking, God continues work

Pastor Cook

 by Pastor Michael Cook –

As we face 2024, our relentlessly divided national media, barking round-the-clock from our televisions and cellphone screens, agrees on one thing: on the large scale, bad things are happening, more are likely to happen, and we should all be scared or angry about them, and do whatever radical things they think should be done to prevent them from happening.

It may be hard to hope in such a time. But the Bible tells us we will never be able to see God in the stories of great powers and principalities, precisely because they are stories of sinful humanity’s ongoing struggle for power and wealth.
