Middlesex wrestlers excel in recent meets

The Middlesex High School (MHS) wrestling team beat King & Queen Central (K&Q), 54-24, tied Westmoreland, 42-42, and lost to Franklin, 46-33, in a quad-meet at the John Clements Memorial Gymnasium on Wednesday, Dec. 13.

The Chargers were paced by Wesley Peck who had three wins with three pins. Karli Parker and Thomas Dobb had three wins with two pins each; Travis Archer, two wins, two pins; Jakub Bowen, two wins, one pin; and eighth grader, Talon Busic, one win, one pin.

Also, Bishop Hanscom, Andrew Harrow and Joseph Rowe had two wins, one loss and one pin each; Christian McMeechan, two wins, one loss; Cole Glasco and Landon Salmon, one win, two losses; Isaac Blake, one  win, one loss, one pin and Sophia Koontz, one win, one loss.

The Chargers next meet is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024 in the Varsity (Wrestling) Invitational at Mathews High School.
