“We were very pleased with the participation this year,” said Kathy Swinehart, one of the annual Hartfield race’s organizers. “We were at maximum numbers for the race and had 30 kids registered for the fun run. There were lots of teams of family members, neighbors, exercise groups and service clubs.”
Funds raised by the Middlesex Family YMCA-benefit 3.1-mile race make it possible for people, especially youth, to participate in sports, after school care, and summer camp, regardless of their families’ ability to pay.
