The Foundry welcomes Middlesex County Christian youths

Playing NBA Jam and other classic arcade games recently at The Foundry, a new Christian youth center in Topping, are, from foreground to back, Vincent Wells, 16, Antonio Graves, 15, Bella Key, 11, and Serinity Wells, 11. All live in Locust Hill. (Contributed)

What is “The Foundry”?  A foundry is a place where raw materials are heated up, purified, strengthened and cast in forms to create unique pieces of metal. This is the theme for The Foundry, a new Christian youth center in Topping at 7962 General Puller Highway in Suite 603. The Foundry’s motto is “Forging Futures.” It is located among the storefronts facing Route 33, on the same side as Harmony Grove Baptist Church.

The doors will open today, Thursday, Nov. 9, at 5 p.m. to welcome the community to come and visit and learn more about it. This Community Interest Night event is for those interested in collaborating on positively impacting youth in Middlesex County.

Tomorrow night, Friday, Nov. 10, will be an open house for all middle and high school students and their families running from 5 to 7 p.m. The youth are welcome to participate in the many games provided: foosball, ping-pong, billiards, arcade games, as well as board games and couches and chairs for hanging out with friends.

Next Thursday night, Nov. 16, at 5 p.m. will be Church Prayer and Partnership Night.
