Gunnar Marston led the way for Middlesex at last week’s four-way cross country meet at the Hills Quarter course in Lancaster County, finishing in sixth place with an 18-minute, 26 second time. Middlesex finished third at the meet, with a 61 score; King William placed first, 24; Lancaster second, 48; and Westmoreland did not have enough runners to compete as a team.

Additional top Charger boy finishers at the Oct. 18 meet were Thomas Cobb, 12th, 19:57; Christopher Butler, 13th, 20:00; Dylan Janisko, 18th, 20:33; and Darius Jones, 28th, 20:48.

“The boys are doing what they need to do to start closing in on the teams,” Middlesex Coach Jennifer Harrow said. “Times are dropping and there were several PRs. We still have work to do before the regional meet.”
