Construction set to start on new Tractor Supply store in Saluda

Three Middlesex County supervisors, a developer rep and the property landowner led a Saluda ground-breaking ceremony Thursday, Oct. 19 for a new Tractor Supply store. Construction on the 21,930 square foot, $6.3 million store is set to start this month and it is expected to open mid-summer 2024 on the north side of General Puller Highway, just east of its intersection with U.S. 17. W.R. Newman & Associates will be the general contractors for the store and the Keith Corporation is the owner/developer. Oxford Architecture is the architect for the store, which is expected to employ 15 to 20 people.

The property owner, Dwayne Thomas and family members, were in attendance at the ceremony, as well as members of the county planning commission, county economic development authority and county staff. 

Wendy Fulton, project manager with the Keith Corporation, welcomed those in attendance, stating Tractor Supply is happy to be locating a store in Middlesex County and is looking forward to serving customers of the Middle Peninsula area. She also thanked people for attending the groundbreaking.
