AIM invites artists to its Christmas Gallery

by Michael Kunzinger –

Arts in the Middle (AIM) is announcing an open call for artists to exhibit in its annual pop-up Christmas Gallery. The gallery will be presented in the lobby and Rappahannock Room of The Chesapeake Inn, on Urbanna’s Virginia Street, from Thursday, Nov. 30 to Saturday, Dec. 2.  Applications are open until Oct. 31.

The Christmas Gallery, an annual event organized by AIM, showcases work by local artists working in a variety of media and has drawn hundreds of visitors each year.

Applications are open to artists working in all fine arts mediums, residing in the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck. Crafts and “buy/sell” items are ineligible. To apply, artists are asked to submit their name, photos of their artwork, and contact information to mfkunzinger@gmail.com. The gallery is staffed by volunteers, and artists are welcome to volunteer in that capacity, if interested.

Applications are open from now until Oct. 31.
