The crisp autumn air and vibrant fall foliage can only mean one thing: it’s time for the Fall Family and Friends Festival! On Sunday, Oct. 22, our community will come alive with excitement and entertainment as the YMCA opens its doors to the entire community.
Chills on the big screen: “Goosebumps” unleashed
Families and thrill-seekers alike are in for a cinematic treat as the YMCA hosts a special screening of the beloved “Goosebumps” movie. Grab some popcorn and get ready for a roller-coaster ride of spooky adventures and eerie mysteries that will keep you at the edge of your seat. The screening will take place in the gym providing a big screen movie experience rain or shine. The movie starts at 2:45 p.m.
Disc golf fun for all ages
For those looking for a more active and competitive pastime, the festival offers an exciting disc golf course. Beginners and seasoned players are encouraged to join in the fun. The course winds through the grounds of Hartfield’s Middlesex Family YMCA, challenging your accuracy and skills.
Skateboarding Spectacular
Adrenaline junkies, this one’s for you! The festival will feature a mobile skateboarding park, complete with multiple ramps and rails for skaters of all levels. Whether you’re a pro or just starting out, this is your chance to show off your moves and learn a few new ones. Safety gear and helmets are provided, and we’ll have experienced skaters on hand to offer tips and tricks.
Arts and crafts
Get creative with a variety of arts and crafts projects. Express your artistic side and take home your unique creations.
Obstacle course
Challenge your physical prowess and agility with our exciting obstacle course. Compete with friends and family to see who can conquer the course.
Bookmobile
The Middlesex County Public Library system’s brand new bookmobile will be debuting at the festival. Come learn about all the ways the Deltaville and Urbanna libraries are bringing books to you!
Bounce into excitement with the bouncy slide
The youngest members of the family won’t be left out either. An enormous bouncy slide will be on-site, promising hours of laughter and excitement. Kids will have a blast climbing and sliding, all under the watchful eyes of trained supervisors to ensure their safety.
