Middlesex boys capture runner-up honors at five-way cross country meet

Middlesex High School’s boys cross country team captured runner-up honors in the Oct. 4 five-way meet at Mathews, scoring 59 points. The Blue Devils finished first with 15 points, Rappahannock third with 73 points, Westmoreland fourth with 106 points and Northumberland fifth with 132 points.

The Middlesex girls cross country team only had four athletes participating, so could not compete as a team.

The Charger harriers return to the friendly confines of their new home course behind St. Clare Walker Middle School this coming Wednesday, Oct. 18. The five-way meet, which starts at 4:30 p.m., includes King & Queen Central, Lancaster, Westmoreland and King William. Middlesex cross country fans are encouraged to come out and cheer the Charger runners on.
