Christchurch School’s (CCS) eight-man football team is celebrating its first year with decisive victories, and is undefeated with a 3-0 record in the Virginia Independent School Football League (VISFL).
The Seahorses opened the season with statement wins over Broadwater Academy (50-12) and Greenbrier Christian (48-7) and they beat defending champion Covenant School in a thriller in Charlottesville last Friday (48-42). A third game, against Blessed Sacrament Huguenot, was called early due to storms, but CCS was ahead when the game was halted.

- Rappahannock County of “Little” Washington, Va.
Senior Keegan Slider is captain of the team. He is the son of Ben and Michelle Slider of Farnham.

The team is coached by Head Coach Joel Jorgensen, CJ Kelly, John Dehm, Jordan Wallace ‘13, and Floyd Crouch.
Games at Dischinger Field on the CCS campus are open to the public. Christchurch has a bye week this coming week, but will host Quantico on Saturday, Oct. 14, and Massanutten Military Academy on Oct. 28.
