The Urbanna Town Council voted at its Sept. 14 meeting to only meet once a month for a trial period through December.
Council set the next three monthly meetings for the second Thursday at 6 p.m. The upcoming meetings will be Oct. 12, Nov. 9, and Dec. 14. There will not be a meeting on Sept. 28 as previously scheduled.
The vote for once-a-month meetings was unanimous.
At its January 2024 meeting council will set the date, time and locations for the year’s meetings and could discuss how many times a month they should meet.
