A Candidate Forum and Meet and Greet event is set for 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at St. Clare Walker (SCW) Middle School, 6814 General Puller Highway, Locust Hill. Doors open at 4 p.m.
All candidates appearing on the Nov. 7 general election ballot have been invited to participate in the forum. Those with general questions for the candidates are asked to email the question to forum@rivah.life no later than Friday, Sept. 15.
The forum is being sponsored by seven Middlesex County organizations, according to Middlesex NAACP President Dawn Moore, who said she seeks to correct a misconception that it was “an NAACP forum.” According to Moore, the sponsors, in addition to the NAACP Middlesex County Branch, include, in alphabetical order:
- American Legion Post 82.
- Middlesex County Democrats.
- Middlesex County Lions Club.
- Middlesex County Republicans.
- Middlesex County Rotary Club.
- Middlesex County Kiwanis Club.
