Due to the alleged victim reportedly changing her story, Middlesex County Commonwealth Attorney Michael Hurd has chosen to not prosecute charges against a former Middlesex High School (MHS) guidance counselor.
Hurd stated that the alleged victim has now claimed that what she told investigators was not true. Hurd explained that it is believed that if the victim were to testify now, she would claim that there was not a sexual relationship. The court granted the commonwealth’s motion to nolle prosequi the charge, which could be brought forward again should the situation change, Hurd said.
On March 28, a Middlesex County Grand Jury indicted Felicia Shantell Marsh, 28, of Saluda, on two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child by a person in a custodial or supervisory relationship in December 2022 and January 2023. These charges will not be prosecuted.
Marsh’s employment at MHS was terminated at the time of the investigation and she is no longer employed by the school.
