A record number of votes were cast and the winners have been revealed in the 2023 Best of the Rivah contest. The winners were announced in the August edition of The Rivah Visitor’s Guide, now on newsstands throughout the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck.
“We were delighted in the response this year and are excited that interest in the contest continues to grow,” said Publications Coordinator Susan Simmons.
In its eighth year, the contest includes 41 categories under seven subheads including seafood, food, drinks, retail, hospitality, experiences and business services. All nominations were required to be at public establishments and venues within the publication’s eight-county coverage area, including all of Middlesex County. First-, second- and third-place winners were selected in each category.

All those entering a ballot were entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to their favorite Rivah business. The winner will be announced in the September issue of the visitor’s guide.
