The Middlesex Family YMCA presented its 17th annual Golf Classic July 14 to raise funds for the YMCA’s annual campaign. These funds are designated for scholarships that are granted to those in need of financial assistance in order to participate in Y programs, such as Learn to Swim, Summer Camp, and so many more.
Twenty-nine teams competed in the captain’s choice tournament, which was post-flighted into four flights. Overall champions with an impressive score of 51 were Ricky West, Joe and Blake Sibley, and Hunter Martin. Second flight champions with a score of 55 were Hunter and Travis Law, Jim King, and Jeff James. Third flight champions with a score of 64 were Keith McKenna, Michael Glover, Matt Richards, and Deborah Linkenauger. The ladies division champions with a score of 64 were Christy Pitts, Vicky Gunn, Martha Wiggs, and Lynette Sawyer.
