Local churches are invited to an ice cream social set for 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, July 28, at Christ Church Parish (Episcopal) in Christchurch. In addition to ice cream with toppings, dollop of whipped cream and a cookie, the entertainment is star-studded. Don’t worry no telescope is needed as Gary Archer and Clayton Neal of Jumbo Lump Daddy and the Backfin Boys will perform for two hours. “What a treat and what a deal,” a spokesman for the event said.
Bring your lawn chair, your sunglasses, and your wallets. There will be canopies over your heads and raffle tickets (good ones) to sell, and a fun cake walk where you can win a homemade cake!
