Lois Daniel, 87, of Saluda died peacefully on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
Lois is preceded in death by her husband Donald Daniel; her parents, Lucy and Wilton Powell; brother, Thomas Powell; and sister, Catherine Lawson.
Lois is survived by her children, David, Guy (Abbi), and Keith Williams (Patricia); her sisters, Louise Fulcher, Christine Williams and Doris Thrift; grandchildren, David, Brandon, Kelly and Thomas Williams, Pete Crigler, Becky Newman and Emory Daniel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lois retired from Pitts Lumber Company after 28 years as the company secretary.
The family thanked Riverside Lifelong Health and Rehabilitation center of Saluda, and Riverside Hospice Care Middle Peninsula.
The funeral service was 11 a.m. on Monday, July 17 in Hermitage Baptist Church, Church View. The family received friends one hour prior to the service. Interment was in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hermitage Baptist Church or Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department or Middlesex Volunteer Rescue Squad.
Arrangements are by Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda.
