Christchurch School (CCS) Director of Athletics and Co-Curricular Activities John Dehm announced last week that Joel Jorgensen will be the school’s new head football coach.
Jorgensen comes to Christchurch from his high school alma mater, McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Md., where he was a wide receiver coach and recruiter for four years.
He was captain of the football team at St. Anselm’s College in Goffstown, N.H., and graduated with a degree in Communications. Following college, Jorgensen was a coaching intern at the University of New Hampshire for a season, before heading to Johns Hopkins University where he was an assistant coach (defense, strong safeties) from 2016-2019.
Coach Jorgensen will teach in the Humanities Department at Christchurch.
