Middlesex High School’s (MHS) Hudson McMinn has been named to the first team Virginia High School League (VHSL) all-state baseball team for his play as a designated hitter.
“Hudson has had just a fantastic season,” said MHS Athletic Director-Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach Matt Stamm. “Throughout the entire year he not only had numerous hits but he had key hits that helped us compete on a regional and state level.”
The MHS baseball team finished second in Region A play and made it all the way to the semifinals of the Virginia Class 1 tournament. The Chargers defeated Riverheads, 3-1, in the state tournament and lost to Lebanon in the semifinals, 4-1. Lebanon went on to win the state title in the finals by beating Auburn, 7-0.
