Our beloved Shelia Dee Burrell James peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, after a long, hard fight.
She was born on Dec. 14, 1959, to the late David and Hattie Burrell in Urbanna.
Shelia was educated in the Middlesex County public school system.
Her work career started as a security officer at Williamsburg Pottery. She later moved on to the pictures and framing department until 2009. After leaving the pottery, she began taking CNA classes with Eastern State Hospital and worked within the hospital after becoming certified. In 2016, Shelia was diagnosed with lung cancer and could no longer work in the profession she was so passionate about.
Shelia Burrell James leaves behind to mourn her passing, her loving husband, Craig; daughter, Tiffany; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, bonus siblings (in-laws), and friends.
Services were conducted on June 22 at Lebanon Baptist Church in Saluda.
