The Great American Trailer Park musical is concluding its run with a Sunday matinee performance on June 18. Director Robin Blake said, “It has been a profound experience watching the standing ovations every show, and receiving congratulations from the audiences. I am extremely proud of the cast, and all the hard work that everyone has put into this show to make it the success that it is!”
The cast includes Laurie Breakwell and Brad Parks as a couple whose lives become complicated when an exotic dancer, played by Jennifer Walker, moves into their Florida trailer park. Rounding out the cast are Jackie Allen, Dawn Hall, Starlet Knight and Linda Stough.
“Technically, this is likely the most complex production we have mounted at the Lancaster Players Playhouse,” explained President Luke Rawls. “From the start, this show has required our tech department to reach deep into our collective well of resources. There are more than 125 lighting cues and more than 200 sound cues. That equates to a little over 1.5 cues per minute, to be actioned during the show.”
“With so many sold-out shows, the board decided to add an additional evening performance for today, Thursday, June 15,” said President Luke Rawls. Some tickets remain. Reservations can be made online at www.lancasterplayers.org or by phone, 804-435-3776.
