TRACK TEAMS WIN DIST. CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Middlesex High School (MHS) girls and boys track teams were double Tidewater District championship team winners on Thursday, May 18, at the district meets at Charles City High School.

Lady Chargers

Middlesex’s Lady Chargers won the six team meet by scoring 130 points. Mathews was second, 94 points; King William, third, 79; King and Queen Central, fourth, 67; Charles City, fifth, 47; and West Point, sixth, 40 points.

Chargers

The boys track team won the Tidewater District title with 142 points; West Point and King William, second, 108 points each; Mathews, fourth, 93; Carver Academy, fifth, 39; King and Queen Central, sixth, 8; and Charles City, seventh, 6 points.

The Chargers and Lady Chargers participated in the Region A championship meet at Charles City on Wednesday, May 24. Results were unavailable at press time.
