Kiwanians and their guests watched on large screen televisions as Mage went on to win the 149th edition of the race in 2:01.57. Mage was reportedly a surprise winner — the horse had only won a single race previously and had 15-1 odds of winning. Speaking to the attendees, Middlesex County Public Schools Superintendent Tracy Seitz (left) told the crowd how important its donations were for the support of student scholarships.
