Tyrell Lamont Samuel, 24, of Saluda, was indicted on May 1 by a Gloucester Circuit Court Grand Jury for the first degree murder of Skyler Ann Merenda, who was murdered Aug. 15, 2022 in a residence in the Carters Cove neighborhood in Gloucester.
Samuel was also indicted for nine other felonies in relation to the alleged crime, court records indicate. Charges include using a firearm in the commission of a felony, entering a house to commit a felony, and possession of a firearm by felon.
Records indicate Samuel is being held without bond as an inmate in the Northern Neck Regional Jail on other charges.
