UUFR church in White Stone helps fund Kid First

Pam Booth, director of the Kids First program at Middlesex Elementary School, presided over a pasta supper for families on April 13 in the school cafeteria. Parents, teachers and Kids First volunteers joined together to celebrate progress for the school’s classrooms for pre-kindergarten children, for which volunteers help them learn about nutrition and provide healthy snacks. Every adult attending that evening, both parents and teachers, received gift cards from a dozen area restaurants and food stores. Starting 10 years ago, members of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock church in White Stone initiated and funded the early years of the Kids First programs for 3 year olds in both Middlesex and Lancaster counties.
