The Middlesex High School (MHS) varsity boys soccer team is off to a 5-1 start including a 2-1 win over AA King William, which “defended almost the entire game and proved tough to break down,” said Charger Coach Macky Hall. “We are a young team with few seniors and lots of development needed.”
So far this season the Chargers have posted wins against Northumberland, 5-2, King William, 5-2, Carver Academy, 9-0, Rappahannock, 3-2, and Mathews 3-1.
Their only loss was April 12 to West Point, 7-0.
“We are a young team with few seniors and lots of development needed,” said Hall.
The Middlesex boys soccer program has boasted strong teams in recent years. Last year’s MHS boys soccer team was Tidewater District champion and finished 14-3 overall and 6-0 in district, according to MaxPreps.com.
