Kilmarnock United Methodist Church (KUMC) will be presenting Hal Hopson’s “Tenebrae: A service of Darkness” on Good Friday, April 7, at 7 p.m. The Tenebrae service is presented three days preceding Easter Sunday and commemorates the final hours of Christ’s life on earth as He prepared for and suffered death on the cross.
KUMC Choir Director Wayne Hare has assembled a choir of members from area community churches, including two from Middlesex County — Urbanna United Methodist Church and Hardyville’s Clarksbury United Methodist Church. Other churches represented are KUMC, Kilmarnock Baptist and St. Andrews Presbyterian.
The community is invited to attend.
