“Safety, Ownership, Attitude and Respect!”
These words are part of the standards of excellence associated with the entire St. Clare Walker (SCW) Middle School family, said Dr. Elizabeth Sanders at a special Schools to Watch redesignation ceremony.
“This Schools to Watch award is something that we as Seahawks should all be proud of,” said Dr. Sanders at Friday’s SCW auditorium assembly that included students, teachers, school officials and parents. Dr. Sanders said that this is the fifth time Middlesex County Public Schools’ SCW has been awarded “Schools to Watch” status.
In 1999, the National Forum to Accelerate Middle Grades Reform began a national program to identify high-performing middle grades schools. The Schools to Watch program recognizes academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity and organization, structures and processes in middle school level education.
