Ware Academy’s varsity boys and girls basketball teams, which include players who live in Middlesex County, boast undefeated seasons this year. Both teams competed in the ISAC (Independent School Athletic Conference), as well as the PIAL (Peninsula Independent Athletic League), and were named conference champions.
The Waves were top seed in both championships, and hosted the PIAL Championship on their campus in Gloucester.
“It is important that our athletes are exposed to different levels of competition, Ware Athletic Director Michael Cunningham said. “They won’t grow unless challenged. It is my personal goal that they are prepared to play at the next level…”
