Mike Lewis Sr., who coached the Middlesex High School (MHS) varsity Lady Charger basketball team this season, said he’s thankful to the things that went right this season.
The Lady Chargers made it to the Region 1A tournament on Feb. 21. However, a powerful Rappahannock team eliminated them 66-33. The Raider girls went on to win the Class 1 region championship.
“I am appreciative of the young ladies that came out, worked hard and persevered,” said Coach Lewis. “There are some things that I could have done differently, never-
theless I was proud of the girls…”
