The topic for the fifth 2023 Great Decisions lecture series program will be “A Woman’s Life in Afghanistan” and it will feature Tabasum Wolayat, who has experienced first-hand the oppressive rule of the Taliban government. The free, in-person lecture is set for 10 a.m.-noon Friday, March 3, at the Deltaville Community Association building at 17147 General Puller Highway (Route 33).
Although Afghanistan is no longer front page news there is still great need for understanding the plight of the Afghan people, particularly the many courageous women who are once again under the brutal, tyrannical rule of the Muslim extremist government.
Great Decisions continues 10 a.m. Friday, March 10, with an in-person session “Global Famine” program presented by Dr. Federica Bono of Christopher Newport University.
