The Town of Urbanna Hometown Heroes banner program will return this year with a new banner design. The program serves as a tribute to recognize service men and women, either from Urbanna or friends and family of Urbanna residents, who have served or are serving our country in a branch of the military.
Each individual banner will honor a specific serviceman or servicewoman and will include his or her picture, branch of service, and era of service. Sponsors, who may be friends, families, or businesses, will pay for the Hometown Heroes banners. Sponsorship will be named on the banners.
Banners will be displayed from the July Fourth through Labor Day on town lampposts, after which time, the banner will be stored and returned to the lampposts for Memorial Day 2024 and then returned to the sponsor.
The cost is $125 for sponsors.
