On Feb. 7, the Middlesex Board of Supervisors voted 4-1 to direct the county attorney to work with the Town of Urbanna’s attorney regarding the town’s request for a voluntary boundary adjustment on the west side of town and to set up the required public hearing.
Supervisor Reggie Williams cast the only dissenting vote. Voting in favor of moving forward to study the multi-acre expansion proposal were supervisors Wayne Jessie, Don Harris, John Koontz and Supervisors Chairman Lud Kimbrough.
The parcels that the town council would like to make part of Urbanna are located on Virginia Street and Waverly Road. Parcels that were on Red Hill Road have been eliminated from the proposal…
