Byers, Graulich, Hanscom, Powell qualify for State 1A meet in Salem
The Middlesex High School (MHS) Charger wrestling team finished fourth as a team in the Region A wrestling tournament at Lancaster High School this past Saturday.
The Chargers finished behind a powerful Mathews High School team that finished first as a team; Northampton, second; and Lancaster finished third in the meet.
The Chargers will compete in the Virginia State 1A wrestling championships at the Civic Center in Salem (near Roanoke) on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 17-18.
