Middlesex JV hoop boys blunt WP Pointers, 60-17

The Middlesex High School junior varsity basketball team defeated the West Point Pointers, 60-17, Friday in the John S. Clements Memorial Gymnasium in Saluda.

Guard Nathan Powell led all scorers with 14 points. He scored 11 points in the second quarter and intermittently spent the rest of the game on the bench.

The Chargers dominated offense and defense and ultimately Coach Kelvin Reed gave his bench players some quality playing time in the game…
