Middlesex finishes regular season Tidewater play 12-0; is top seed in tourney opening Friday at home

The Middlesex High School (MHS) varsity boys basketball team stomped the West Point Pointers 98-33 Friday in Tidewater District action.

The Chargers ended district play with a perfect 12-0 record and lost only two games in the 2022-2023 season to the Lancaster Red Devils.

MHS has an 18-2 overall win-loss record with one game left in the season against the Gloucester Dukes. That game was played on Tuesday, Feb. 7.

The Chargers are the top seed in the Tidewater District tournament that starts Friday, Feb. 10. It has not yet been determined who the Chargers will play against. The top four seed district teams will play in the semi-finals and games will be played at Middlesex High School…
