The Deltaville Community Association (DCA) has kicked off plans for expanding and improving the DCA Community Park, and the first step is to get the community’s input.
The DCA will host a pair of open house brainstorming sessions in February at the DCA community center building at 17147 General Puller Highway (Route 33). The two open-format events are planned for 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, and 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11.
Deltaville’s Community Park consists of more than six acres, and currently includes the tennis, pickleball and basketball courts, playground, pool and community center, as well as the large open grass field behind the playground and pool. As the DCA develops a master plan for improving the community property, input from the citizens of the community as to what is desired is essential, according to DCA reps.
No idea is too big or too small. Specific ideas for improving existing facilities, and ideas for expanded features are what the DCA is looking to gather. Expanded playground and recreation facility, exercise uses, community event space, concert venue – it’s all on the table. The DCA needs to know what the community would like to see.
The brainstorming session will be an informal open house format where participants can come, share, and leave as desired. Brainstorming ideas and open input is the theme of the evening and all are welcome.
While in-person discussion is vital, those who cannot attend but would like to send comments and ideas may do so by using the contact form on the DCA website.
